i am 23 yr old guy. well i am overweight my height is 5’9 ", right now weight 194 lbs , and two months back i was 214 lbs . well my aim is to reach my perfect weight like around 144-154 lbs. after joining fitness centre i lost 20 pounds in past 2 months. i am into cardio and weight training every alternate days. but now i have heard that sometimes with your fats , sometimes you may loose your muscle which you have build in the brief period. So my question is in order to avoid any loss of my muscle mass, should my body have enough storage of protein , since muscles need proteins to build up ? my diet mostly consists more of carbohydrates and proteins is in smaller portion, do i have to raise my protein intake ? also i want a lean toned body , thats why i am into weight traning as well
yes what you want to do is to burn fat but keep the muscle mass so you would have to raise the amount of protein in your diet and lower the amount of carbs. make sure you are also getting the right amount of potassium in your diet to avoid burning valuable nutrients. you should also allow yourself to cheat and eat the foods your crave every once in a while but still maintaining your discipline.
in order that i dont loose my muscle mass while workout, my body should have enough protein ?
