what is the best workout to gain muscle mass back after acl surgery?

Using the Elliptical

those two are basically the exercises that I have done to gain my muscle mass back

oh, and , also. my doctor recommended swimming with no restrictions

    do squats with no weights for a couple of weeks then progress with weights when you feel confident.

    I had an ACL reconstructive surgery as well, 3 years ago.

    I went through a whole year of physical therapy, twice a week.
